FLOORING PURCHASE HELP

Plan a Whole House Flooring Replacement

A whole house project needs a room sequence as well as a material choice. Decide how people, furniture and other renovation work will move through the home.

Choose the sequence before the date

Tell the installer whether you will stay in the house. Ask which rooms can be handed back each day and how access to bedrooms or bathrooms will work.

Coordinate flooring with painting, cabinets and other trades. The correct order depends on the flooring system and whether finishing takes place on site.

Keep ordering and transitions consistent

Have the full area measured and the ordering allowance explained. Discuss spare material and product availability if some rooms will be completed later.

Approve transitions between different floors and doorways before installation. Whole house continuity does not override a product's required movement breaks.

Set a handover for each stage

Confirm furniture responsibilities, storage, dust control and daily cleanup. Put changes and additional preparation prices in writing as rooms are opened.

Ask for care instructions and the timing for rugs and heavy furniture. Keep product records, warranty terms and photographs in one project folder.
